Listen to top editors, filmmakers, directors and more about their careers and work on some of the biggest movies and TV shows of the year.
In this week’s episode of Art of the Frame, presenter Scott Simmons chats with editor Chancler Haynes. Chancler has a background in commercial video and music editing as well as feature films. He has videos for artists like Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez and Imagine Dragons. Commercial Work includes spots for Lexus, General Motors and Fox Sports. Chancler also has a long collaboration with director Joseph Kahn, which includes the feature film Bodied.
While the intent of this podcast was to talk about music video editing (and that’s exactly what they do), there’s also a lot of talk about ad editing, agency relationships, and on-set editing, and Chancler tells a fantastic story about how he started that relationship with Kahn.
